Sigourney Weaver Out Of ‘Ghostbusters’ Sequel…

Sigourney Weaver has pulled out of the second ‘Ghostbusters’
sequel. Sigourney was reported to be joining former co-stars
Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in a spooky new movie, 20 years
after ‘Ghostbusters II’ but she insists she isn’t part of
producers’ plans.

She says, “I think they’re trying to create something new
completely with the Ghostbusters, although I know Bill is in
it. I don’t expect to have anything to do with it, although I
wish them well.”

Dan Akroyd has suggested the new film, in which the original
Ghostbusters hand over control of their spook-chasing
responsibilities to a team of hot young ladies, could start
shooting before the end of the year.

Country Singer Josh Turner Welcomes Baby Boy…

Country music star Josh Turner has become a dad for the second
time, after welcoming a baby boy with his wife of six years.

Josh, 31, and his wife Jennifer welcomed little Colby Lynch
Turner on Friday, giving their two-and-a-half-year-old son
Hampton Otis a little brother.

And the timing couldn’t have been more perfect – Turner
received notice his wife was in labor just hours after the
singer finished recording his fourth album.

He says, “My producer, Frank Rogers, jokingly told Jennifer
that she needed to wait until we finished my record before she
had the baby. We finished the album last Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
After I got home, Jennifer went into labor and we were at the
hospital by 10:30 that night. Now that’s what I call perfect
timing… I’m just a proud daddy right now. Hampton loves being
a big brother, and we’re just one big happy family.

The actress who had harsh words for Bono and the Edge… when
she met them she told the U2 stars to make their music less
depressing?

It’s Evan Rachel Wood… The actress is set to take on the role
of Mary Jane Watson in the new musical “Spider Man: Turn Off
the Dark” on Broadway, which will debut in February.

U2 front man Bono and guitarist The Edge are writing new music
for the musical, and Wood found herself giving them tips at a
recent meeting.

She says, “I was like, ‘Bono, I know you want to save the world
and everything, but in this song you’re talking about poverty
and world hunger and it’s Broadway. Can we lighten this up a
bit, can I just not sing this?’

“He was like, ‘You’re right, I know, we have to try, we have
to try.’”
