Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander is following in the footsteps of
actresses Queen Latifah, Valerie Bertinelli, Phylicia Rashad,
and Kirstie Alley as the next celebrity spokesperson for
Jenny Craig.

Jason hopes to drop between 30 and 40 pounds on the popular
weight-loss plan. Jason says he chose Jenny Craig for the
“deadly combination of I’m fat and they [the program] work.”

But will he pose in a bikini like Valerie and Kirstie did
when they worked their waistlines down on the program? Jason
says “Don’t hold your breath. That’s where I draw my
feminine line.”

Russell Brand and Katy Perry Are Engaged…

Comedian Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry are engaged,
his rep confirmed.

Rumors to that effect began circulating over the holidays,
and became especially loud Tuesday night. Katy, Tweeted
around 1 a.m. New York time from Thailand on Wednesday an
oblique reference to an Alanis Morrisette song: “So when do
I start walking the streets naked singing that Alanis song?”

Morrisette’s lines in “Thank You” include: “How about me just
enjoying the moment for once” and “Thank you India” (where
the couple vacationed recently).

For his part, Russell, was quoted in Wednesday’s editions
of Britain’s Sun tabloid as texting, “It’s true. Much love.”

The couple, who have been dating since the fall, have been
nearly inseparable since hooking up. But that there were
rumors of nuptials wasn’t surprising: Brand hinted earlier
this month that he foresaw having kids with the singer,
famous for her over-the-top fruit-themed props.

On the domestic front, Katy has already introduced the
comedian to her religious parents, and once showed off a
pair of undies embroidered with the colors of his favorite
soccer team, West Ham United.

Mariah Carey’s Sloshy Awards Show Speech Turns Heads…

Mariah Carey had attendees at the Palm Springs International
Film Festival awards gala scratching their heads.

After she was escorted on stage, she greeted her presenter
and Precious director Lee Daniels at the podium with a
little dance and a big hug.

Mariah then busted out in laughter as she staggered to form
a sentence while accepting the Breakthrough Actress award
for her performance in Precious.

“Please forgive me because I’m a little bit um, yeah!” she
said between fits of laughter.

As Mariah praised the director’s speech, she kept bursting
into applause. “Sorry,” she told Daniels. “Sometimes I get
a little …” she then paused to snap her fingers,
adding “… you know, difficult.” Then she giggled again.

Before leaving the stage, Mariah thanked the audience “for
listening to my little spiel, and God bless you.”

Backstage, USA Today reports, the diva kept photographers
waiting, and would only be photographed on her right side.

In 2001, Mariah had fans scratching their heads after she
performed an impromptu striptease on MTV’s TRL. Host Carson
Daly quipped, “I’m still shell-shocked.” A short time later,
she checked herself into the hospital for medical and
psychiatric care.

Jimmy Wayne Walks Halfway Across America…

Country music recording artist Jimmy Wayne launched his “Meet
Me Halfway” campaign on January 1, 2010 when he beganhis solo
walk halfway across America in Nashville, TN.

Jimmy’s intention is not only to raise awareness of the plight
of the homeless, especially at risk children, teens and young
adults, but also raise funds for organizations that benefit
homeless youth.

The country star will began the walk at 10:00 a.m. CT on January
1st at Monroe Harding in Nashville, another organization that
services at risk children and young adults. His plan is to walk
to Phoenix, AZ.

“I realize beginning a mission like this in the dead of winter
and walking through the middle of the country is going to be
difficult, but I hope and pray I am up to the challenge,”
Jimmy said. “It’s going to be cold, rainy and maybe even
snowing and that ground I sleep on at night is going to be
really hard. But that’s what the homeless are dealing with
each and every winter they go without a home of their own.
Our country is too great for us to have people who are
suffering so.  And events of the past 12 to 14 months have
increased the number of people—especially children and young
adults—without a safe place to sleep. We as a nation have got
to end homelessness and we’ve got to help these kids.”

Tiger Woods Has Been Staying With NY Billionaire…

As speculation continues to grow on Tiger Woods’ whereabouts,
reports say that Tiger, hasbeen staying with his billionaire
pal Jim Dolan, the controversy-prone CEO of Cablevision and
owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks.

“Jim reached out to Tiger,” one knowledgeable source says,
adding that Jim invited Tiger to hide out at his $13.5
million fortress-like waterfront estate,the main house of
which is a 10,000-square-foot colonial mansion, on New
York’s Long Island a week after his sex scandal broke.

“Tiger’s been seeing a shrink who goes to Jim’s house,”
says the source.

Though an MSG spokesperson denies Tiger is at Jim’s home,
commenting, “It is categorically false and preposterous on
its face,” father of five Jim, who has talked about
conquering his drug and alcohol addictions after a rehab
stint in 1993, has a history of helping troubled athletes,
including basketball player Vin Baker, who battled alcoholism.

The source adds that Jim has even opened up his fleet of jets
to Tiger, whose own plane ferried Tiger’s wife Elin from
Switzerland back home to Florida.

“He’s the one keeping him under the radar,” says the source.
“Jet-setting everywhere. I know Tiger’s flown on Jim’s jet
from Florida probably three times.”

The source adds that Nike, one of the few Tiger sponsors that
hasn’t dropped him as a spokesman, let him use their jet for
at least one trip.

Youngest Kardashian, 14, Signs On to Modeling Agency…

Move over Kim, Khloe and Kourtney: A new Kardashian will
soon be entering the spotlight.

Kendall Jenner, daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner, recently
signed on to Wilhelmina Modeling Agency as a teen model!

Reports say that she has already landed a campaign with the
hip American chain Forever 21.

“My mom came up to me one day and said, ‘Kendall, I got you
a job,’” Kendall gushes!. “I just got so excited. I love
shopping at Forever. I love their clothes.”

Kendall already had one shoot, “it was a Grease theme,” she
says, and has another one “this week. I’m really excited
for it.”

She says her famous sibs are already offering tips.

“I looked to Kim for posing advice,” says Kendall. “[Kourtney]
said to put my own style into the clothes that I was wearing.
I was a little nervous before the shoot, but after I started
taking a couple of pictures it just flowed and it was so fun.”
