have apologized for failing to wear seat belts in a scene in
the new concert movie ‘Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of
Both Worlds Concert Tour.”
Consumer Reports publicly criticized the pair earlier this
week for setting a bad example to Miley’s young fans.
The scene in question features Mileyand her dad in the back
of a Range Rover, with neither of them wearing required
safety restraints.
Billy Ray says, “We got caught up in the moment of filming,
and we made a mistake and forgot to buckle our seat belts.
Seat belt safety is extremely important.”

Johnathon Schaech Engaged to One Tree Hill’s Jana Rae Kramer…
Christmas came early for Johnathon Schaech when he and One Tree
Hill actress Jana Rae Kramer got engaged.
“It was the best present ever,” he says of the Dec. 22 proposal.
“It was the happiest moment of my life.”
The couple, who started dating while costarring in the 2008
thriller Prom Night, got engaged in Johnathon’s hometown of
Edgewood, Maryland, where he surprised Jana with a proposal
during their holiday vacation.
Johnathon, who was married to Christina Applegate before the
two divorced in 2007, says: “I can’t wait to make Jana my
wife and have a family.”
Johnathon recently wrapped the film Georgia, opposite Emmanuelle
Chriqui.

Tyra Banks Says Goodbye to Talk Show…
After five seasons, two Daytime Emmy awards and too many girl-
power episodes to count, Tyra Banks is announcing the end of
The Tyra Show.
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” Tyra says.
“I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms,
bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
Wrapping at the end of its fifth season in the spring of 2010,
it will be lights out for the show that brought viewers
memorable weave-exposing, cellulite-revealing and tear-jerking
moments.
Tyra will focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based
film production company currently reviewing possible projects.
Sticking to her mission, Tyra aims to bring “positive images of
women to the big screen,” says an industry insider.
“My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young
girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” Tyra says.

Jon Gosselin’s NYC Apartment Ransacked…
Jon Gosselin returned to New York after spending Christmas in
Pennsylvania with his eight children to discover his apartment
had been burglarized.
“[He] called me this afternoon, when he entered his apartment
in Manhattan and was horrified, disheartened and saddened to
observe the devastation of his furniture, clothing and personal
belongings, which were apparently slashed with a butcher knife
by a very troubled and sick perpetrator,” Jon’s lawyer, Mark Jay
Heller, said in a statement Saturday. “Jon immediately contacted
me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City
Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced
detective to Jon’s apartment.”
According to Heller, Jon discovered a note that was “speared”
into his wooden dresser. Heller also says that Jon’s television,
CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game and dishes, pots
and pans were stolen from the New York apartment, while some of
his clothing, luggage and bedding was slashed.

Brad and Angelina Donate $100,000…
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie felt the spirit of giving this
holiday season.
The famously generous couple donated $100,000 to the American
SOS Children’s Villages, an alternative foster care
organization with locations in the U.S. in Illinois and Florida.
“We have seen firsthand the remarkable job SOS does to raised
orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together,”
Angelina said in a statement. “No one “ages out” of an SOS
Village. Vocational training, advanced education, living
assistance and more support are there forever.”
Heather Paul, CEO of SOS Children’s Villages USA, thanked the
Jolie-Pitts for their generosity and said they were longtime
supporters of the organization. “We are deeply grateful that
this year they have included in their generosity our villages
in Illinois and Florida and our 300 children who call SOS
‘home,’ ” she said in a statement. “In this holiday season,
many of us take for granted that we are surrounded by loving
family members. The poor outcomes for foster children indicate
that we must do a much better job of supporting them.”
SOS Children’s Villages is the largest nonprofit organization
in the world solely dedicated to orphaned and abandoned
children. There are 500 villages in 132 countries
