MTV’S TRL Axed…

The MTV show which helped launch the careers of Britney Spears,
*N SYNC and Eminem and others is ending after ten years on air.

The music channel’s popular Total Request Live (TRL) show has
been axed, with the final show expected to be broadcast in
November.

Launched in 1998, the show featured hot new music videos, and
viewers were introduced to their favorite pop stars through
exclusive interviews.

Former TRL host Carson Daly is expected to return for the two-hour
special finale. And stars who shot to fame on the show are sad to
see it go - with rapper Eminem saying he’ll miss causing trouble
on the beloved series.

He says, “I’m going to miss TRL. Where else will I be able to start
feuds, defend my honor vigorously and act like an angry teenager
on national TV? Oh wait … The VMAs!”

Matthew McConaughey Loses Temper…

Matthew McConaughey angrily confronted a paparazzo after a
triathlon in Malibu, Calif., when the over-eager snapper
got too close to the actor’s newborn son, Levi.

The star took part in the grueling event on Sunday, running,
swimming and cycling his way through the tough endurance race
alongside new mom Jennifer Lopez.

After completing the race, McConaughey was congratulated by
his girlfriend Camila Alves, who had been cheering him on
from the sidelines while holding their baby.

But the star soon lost his temper with a photographer after
he began to follow the pair along the beach, upsetting Alves
by taking snaps up close.

                  *-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This star suffered such agony wearing a towering wig in her new
period drama, that crewmembers had to build a platform to rest
it on.

It’s Keira Knightley… Keira squeezed into a rib-busting corset
and donned a huge hairpiece for the role of 18th century aristocrat
Georgiana Cavendish in the movie ‘The Duchess’.

But her costume was so extravagant it started taking a toll on her
health - until set workers improvised to solve the problem.

She tells USA Today newspaper, “High heels are bad enough. I don’t
think you need a corset and wigs, as well. The wigs were the
problem. They were big like birdcages. The hats were sewn onto the
tops of them. And the whole thing was glued to my head, pinned in.

“I had neck ache. I literally couldn’t hold the thing up. So they
built me a stand so I could rest the whole lot on.”
