Here’s the Scoop….
Many thanks to Kris for covering for me yesterday. I had
to take my mom to the doctor. This time it was for her good
eye. It seems she scratched it again.

Monday there going to stitch up a little bit of each side
of it to try and help it from continually getting exposure
which causes it to dry out… which leads to a scratch.

Her vision is once again very limited. I have to say it was
pretty heartbreaking. She’s such a trooper but the whole
situation got to her yesterday.

She had planned to go with us to Las Vegas in a couple of
weeks, then spend a week in Arizona with my sister.

Now it doesn’t seem like she’ll be able to.

There’s not much I can do but be positive and reassuring.

Well let’s hope the Monday procedure will help.

The good news is her eye that had the transplant is doing
well. Still can only see things about 5 feet in front of
her, but the vision does take time to come back.

Anyway, let’s get to the nooz… I’ll keep you posted.

Christian Bale’s Lawyers Issue Statement Over Arrest…
Christian Bale’s legal team have released a statement
responding to reports of an alleged assault.

Christian was arrested over allegations of assault after
attending a central London police station by appointment
on Tuesday.

Reports had claimed Bale lashed out at his mother and sister
in his suite at the Dorchester hotel in London on Sunday.

A statement released from his legal team confirms that he
attended a police station on a voluntary basis over the
allegations made by his mother and sister.

“Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout,
gave his account in full of the events in question, and has
left the station without any charge being made against him by
the police,” the statement added.

“At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale.”

Patrick Swayze: ‘I’m a Miracle’…
Patrick Swayze, who is battling cancer, describes himself as
a “miracle.” The ailing actor posed for photographers in Los
Angeles over the weekend, looking healthy and fit, despite
reports he’s dying.

Patrick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April, prompting
claims he had just months to live.

But the 55-year-old has responded well to treatment at California’s
Stanford University Medical Center, and he shared his good health
with photographers, who caught up with him as he headed back to
work at the weekend.

As he prepared to board a flight to Chicago where he will begin
shooting new TV series “The Beast,” Swayze told snappers, “I’m a
miracle … I don’t know why.”

Last month the reclusive star revealed he was “winning” his battle
with the deadly disease, thanks to a healthy diet. He said, “My
treatments are working and I am winning the battle.

“I am juicing (drinking fresh fruit juice) every day along with
other treatments and all I can say is that it’s working fine and
really well.”

Eminem/Kid Rock Challenged To Detroit Rap Battle
Detroit, Michigan stars Eminem and Kid Rock have been
challenged to a freestyle rap battle, which could pocket
their chosen charities $1,000,000.

The offer comes from the producers of new movie ‘Rap
Therapy, which chronicles one Detroit social worker’s
efforts to use hip hop to help steer troubled teens away
from gangbanging, drugs and violence.

The rap challenge will officially be launched in Detroit
on Tuesday. Blake LeVine, the subject of the film says, “It
will be a televised rap battle and the winner will pick up
$1,000,000 for the charity of his choice.”

The documentary features footage of 50 Cent, Diddy, Anne
Hathaway, Fergie and Tom Cruise, talking about the benefits
of hip-hop as a tool for kids involved in gang violence
and abuse.

Speaking of Kid Rock… he has been sentenced to 12 months
probation and six hours of anger management classes after
being arrested in a scuffle at a Waffle House last October.

Jolie & Thornton To Reunite Onscreen?…
Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton are
searching for a comedy movie to star in together.

Nine years after they met on the set of 1999 movie ‘Pushing
Tin’, and five years after their three-year marriage ended
in divorce, the pair is planning to reunite on the big screen.

Thornton insists he and Jolie have remained friends since their
split, and are both keen to work together again - as long as
they are not playing husband and wife.

He tells Maxim magazine, “We’ve talked about it plenty of times.
I’m sure we will.” And their preference is a comedy.

Thornton adds, “We want to be really careful that we pick the
right one. Maybe a comedy. In other words, we wouldn’t want
to do another movie about a husband-wife relationship. That
probably wouldn’t be very good.”

Hayek Not Depressed About Split…
Salma Hayek is too upbeat to let her latest failed romance
get her down, according to her close pal, Felipe Fernandez
Del Paso.

The director insists the actress is doing well, despite
recently calling off her engagement to businessman Francois-
Henri Pinault, the father of her daughter, Valentina.

And Del Paso insists the split wasn’t as shocking as the media
suggested. He says, “It came as a shock to you, but not to those
who know her, and my friend is not depressed.

“They’re (Hayek and Pinault) both very intelligent; they have
a daughter together and they’ll be able to work it out.”

Hayek’s publicist confirmed the split last week.

The three stars who are all up for an award to be named the
ultimate green celebrity?

It’s Sienna Miller, Madonna and Leonardo DiCaprio… Playhouse
Disney’s Playing for the Planet Awards has announced a shortlist
of 10 stars who have been nominated for the Greenest Star prize
for using their fame to promote environmental issues.

Sienna has been recognized for her work in raising awareness
about global warming, while Leonardo is a tireless campaigner and
donator to various green campaigns. He recently made a documentary
‘The 11th Hour’ about global warming.

Other contenders include British supermodel Lily Cole, who only
works with environmentally friendly companies, and ‘Harry Potter’
actress Emma Watson, who has spent time working with the Wild
Trout Trust.

Celebrity power couple Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin
also received a nomination.
