boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, after she was spotted sporting a
dazzling diamond on her ring finger.

Kate has been dating A-Rod since last November, and the couple
has been almost inseparable ever since.

Rumors are circulating the web that they are planning to walk
down the aisle after Kate was seen with a diamond band on her
wedding finger on Monday night.

Heigl To Adopt Baby…

Almost exactly a year ago, musician Josh Kelley said he and
wife Katherine Heigl weren’t talking about starting a family.

Looks like somebody changed the subject.

“It is a little girl and she’ll be 10 months at the end this
month,” Katherine said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an
episode to air Friday, announcing her impending adoption.

“She was actually born the day before me in November, which
I thoughtwas really serendipitous and just kind of like a
sign. I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my
birthday for the rest of my life.”

josh and Katherine are adopting a special-needs girl from
Korea; katherine’s sister also was adopted from Korea.

Katherine, who married Josh in December 2007, recently was
the host of a baby shower for Ellen Pompeo. And last week,
Katherine took a leave of absence from Grey’s Anatomy to
film the movie Life As We Know It.

“Her name is Naleigh,” Katherine said. “Well, I am naming
her after my mother and sister Nancy, Leigh. So we call her
Naleigh.”

Katherine’s new daughter will be coming “real soon,” the
actress commented.

” I wanted to tell everybody so you don’t think I stole a
Korean baby,” she said, laughing.

Lohan Lands Fashion Consultant Role…

Lindsay Lohan has landed a top job in the fashion industry.

She been named as a style consultant for French design house
Emanuel Ungaro.

Lindsay’s appointment as artistic adviser comes shortly after
bosses replaced the brand’s top designer, Esteban Cortazar,
who was reportedly furious about having Lindsay attached to
the luxurious brand.

Lindsay says, “To be in a position where I’m working with a
fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other
celebrity brand.”

Ungaro executives are equally as delighted with Lindsay’s
appointment. CEO Mounir Moufarrige adds, “Everything we’re
going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level
around Lindsay will be very, very big.”

Lindsay already has experience in the fashion industry. Her
leggings line 6126 hit U.S. stores in 2008, and the actress
is planning to launch a full range of clothes within the next
two years.

Richie & Madden Welcome a Baby Boy…

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are the proud parents of a
baby boy.

“In the middle of night, the very early hours of September
9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole
Richie and Joel Madden. He weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. Nicole,
Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for
all of your good wishes,” the couple wrote on Nicole’s Web
site.

The newborn joins older sister Harlow Winter Kate Madden,
born in January 2008.

“We’re very, very blessed,” Joel commented on Aug.6 of the
approaching event. “We’ve already had one healthy kid, and
that’s all you can ask for as a parent – healthy kids.”

Nicole, 27, who’s enjoyed a new low-key lifestyle at home
since the birth of Harlow, still keeps active with various
business projects, including a maternity line for A Pea in
the Pod and her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line.

The couple also runs the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation,
which they launched in 2007 to provide grants to health-care
and education nonprofits.

“I don’t think you can plan anything about having a child,”
Nicole said back in October 2008. “It’s something completely
new, so you just have to go with whatever works for you.
There’s a million different ways to be a mom.”

Ellen DeGeneres Replacing Paula Abdul on Idol…

Ellen DeGeneres is taking Paula Abdul’s place as the fourth
judge on American Idol.

“Ellen will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and
Kara DioGuardi and offer her own unique perspective to the
contestants throughout the competition,” Fox television says
in a statement.

Ellen, 51, begins her stint after the audition rounds, which
have featured a rotating group of celebrity guest judges
including Shania Twain, Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Joe
Jonas and Kristin Chenoweth.

“I’m going to have a day job and a night job,” Ellen said at
her talk show taping Wednesday, assuring her audience that
The Ellen DeGeneres Show will continue. “This is so exciting
for me.”

McGowan Injured On Film Set…

Production on Rose McGowan’s new film has come to a halt
after the actress suffered a serious arm injury on set.

Rose is currently filming comic book movie “Red Sonja”
under the direction of her fiance, Robert Rodriguez, but
the shoot has been stopped after she hurt herself during
a dangerous stunt.

Rose has undergone surgery on her wrist and elbow after
suffering serious nerve damage and she admits it will
take at least six months of physiotherapy before she is
back to full health.

Rose commented, “I had wrist and elbow surgery and they
took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage
from doing stunts… I do a lot of my own stunts.

“I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork
and drive so we’re working our way up. It’ll probably be
another six months of rehab, but it’s the price you pay
for being really limber and being able to do back flips!”

Hefner Files For Divorce 11 Years After Break-Up…

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner has filed legal papers to put an
end to his marriage to Kimberly Conrad 11 years after the
couple split.

Hugh has romanced a bevy of beauties since he and former
Playboy Playmate Conrad parted ways in 1998, but he has
only recently taken action to legally dissolve the union.

According to reports, Hugh filed documents in Los Angeles
County Superior Court last Friday, requesting a judge set
spousal support at $20,000 per month.

Hugh claims he has paid Kim almost $12 million since 1998.

Relations between Hugh and his ex have been strained in
recent months after the media mogul sold the house next
door to his famous Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, where
his two sons with Kim, Marston, 19, and Cooper, 17, had
been living.

Last month, Kim, who wed Hugh in 1989, took legal action
against the 83-year-old, claiming he has failed to honor
their pre-nuptial agreement and allegedly owes her more
than $5 million.

The story of a real-life 1940’s era country music group
comprised of all-female prison inmates, and is currently
honing her singing skills as the production prepares to
roll in January.

latest film Love Happens. “Here’s the good news: the band,
they weren’t musicians. They basically created a band in
prison in order to get paroled. So you’re dealing with new
singing voices and new instrument playing and somehow they
find a way and become a huge phenomenon. It’s a true story.”
