Paula Abdul Leaving American Idol…
Ending speculation about her future on one of the most popular
shows on television, Paula Abdul confirmed Tuesday she will no
longer be at the judge’s table on American Idol.
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol,”
Paula writes on her Twitter page. “I’ll miss nurturing all the
new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped
from day one become an international phenomenon.”
Paula adds: “What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate
the undying support and enormous love that you have showered
upon me. I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the
entire world and I love you all.”
No reason was given for her departure just two days before she
was to return to work. Paula’s rep declined to comment except to
confirm she was leaving. The highly rated show is about to begin
taping segments for its ninth season, with auditions starting
Thursday in Denver. The show returns on the air in January.
“Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol
family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she
has decided not to return to the show,” FOX TV says in a
statement. “While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a
tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”
The announcement comes shortly after Paula’s manager angrily said
there was no contract on the table and that “sadly” it didn’t
appear she would be returning. Her previous contract ended after
the eighth season.

Rihanna To Skip Brown Sentencing…
Rihanna won’t be attending court for the latest Chris Brown
hearing on Wednesday, because she’s happy with the current
restraining order against her ex.
Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra insists his client won’t be a
part of court proceedings in Los Angeles, where Chris will
officially be sentenced for his attack on her in February.
At a previous hearing, a judge placed a level one protective
restraining order against Chris, insisting the star must stay
at least 50 yards away from Rihanna and keep a distance of 10
yards from her if they attend the same event.
Reports suggest there will be no changes to the order in court
on Wednesday.
Donald says, “A level one order is sufficient formy client.
The order will require Chris to not molest, annoy, or harass
Rihanna.Since the inception of the case, we’ve alwaysbelieved
that that’s the only order required.”
Chris is expected to be handed five years of probation, 180
days of community service, and a year of domestic violence
classes at his sentencing hearing.
Chris is also scheduled to make his first TV appearance since
the incident to discuss his troubles on CNN news show “Larry
King Live” on Wednesday evening.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-
The Hollywood sweetheart who has embraced life as the lonely girl
in Hollywood, insisting she has learned to find humor in her dismal
dating life is…
It’s Jennifer Aniston…
Jennifer admits she has felt pressure to find the perfect mate since
her 2005 split from Brad Pitt, counting Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and
model Paul Sculfor among her most recent suitors.
But Jennifer doesn’t mind being the poster girl for aging women who
are still unattached, and admits she’s amused by the idea she can’t
find a man.
She tells Elle magazine, “I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant
in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it… If I’m the emblem for
‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her
life,’ so be it… I can make fun of myself. And I’ll bring it up as
long as the world is bringing it up.”
