Jennifer Hudson Is Pregnant…

Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer
Hudson can add mom-to-be to her resume after a weekend
baby shower in her honor was held in downtown Chicago,
the Chicago Tribune reports.

Felicia Fields, a longtime friend of the Jennifer,
confirmed to the paper that the event happened on
Saturday.

“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and
mostly family,” Felicia, also a singer and actress, said
of a gathering in a relative’s home. “They’re really
trying to keep it kind of quiet.”

Felicia added: “It was a nice time that we had.”

When asked if Jennifer received blue or pink gifts,
Felicia said, “They don’t know the gender. More yellow.”

Another paper, the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Jennifer is
seven months along.

A rep for Jennifer had no comment.

Jennifer, who is engaged to Harvard-educated-lawyer-
turned-wrestler David Otunga, has also kept quiet about
her upcoming wedding date…

Billy Bob Thornton’s Daughter Arrested After Baby’s Death…

The oldest daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been arrested
in Florida on charges of child neglect resulting in the
death of 1-year-old girl she was babysitting in October,
police said Sunday.

Friday’s arrest of Amanda Brumfield, was the result of an
alleged incident in which the infant fell, Officer Lee
Stevens of the Ocoee, Florida, police force says.

Amanda informed detectives that a girl she was babysitting
hit her head in a fall in an Ocoee home on Oct. 3, Detective
James Berish said in a press release. Amanda called for help
more than two hours later after being unable to revive the
child, according to police.

An autopsy revealed a fractured skull and brain injury,
leading the medical examiner to rule the death a homicide.
Police said Amanda’s explanation was inconsistent with
the child’s injuries.

Billy’s publicist, Arnold Robinson, says that he, and
Amanda are estranged, “and Billy has had no contact with
her for quite some time. When informed about this
situation, he commented that, ‘Anytime a baby’s life is
lost is an unimaginable tragedy and my heart goes out to
the baby’s family and loved ones.’ ”

It’s a Boy for Family Matters Star Jaimee Foxworth…

Former Family Matters actress Jaimee Foxworth and her
longtime boyfriend, Michael Shaw, welcomed son Michael
Douglas Shaw Jr. Friday in Los Angeles, her rep says.

The baby boy, who was 10 days overdue, weighed in at 6
lbs., 11 oz., and was 19 ¼ inches long.

“This is the best day of my life,” Jaimee, shared – via
text! – from the delivery room. “I am so excited to be
a mother and I also look forward to getting back to
work.”

When she announced her pregnancy in December, Jaimee
said, “I haven’t been this happy in years.”

Jaimee faced some tough times after being written
off of Family Matters, turning to drugs and eventually
ending up on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. However,
with a new baby and a new outlook on life, Jaimee is
ready to rebuild. Jaimee commented, “I’ve been
through a lot of pain in the past and … I now look
forward to years of joy to share with my child.”

First up for Jaimee after spending some time with baby
is an episode of the new reality series Life After,
airing in August on TV One.

Kimora Lee Simmons, Djimon Hounsou Have a Boy…

Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou are the proud parents
of a brand new baby boy!

The Baby Phat CEO, announced the big news on Twitter in a
post on Saturday that says, “It’s a boy! Thanks to everyone
out there for all your well wishes!”

“Both mother and child are doing great,” a rep for Kimora
Lee Simmons says.

Although a name and details of the birth have yet to be
released, Kimora promised there will be “more to come”
in her Twitter update – and there’s reason to believe
she’ll keep her word.

Kimora took to Twitter to tell her followers, “It’s time!!
No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!!”

In another update, she posted a photo of herself at the
hospital and later wrote, “Having contractions now! Ooo-wee!
It’s like WHOA!”

The new addition joins Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6 ½,
Kimora’s daughters with Russell Simmons. The newborn boy
is the first child for Amistad star Hounsou.

Actress Lori Petty Arrested…

Actress Lori Petty, 45, was arrested Saturday night on felony
drunk driving charges after hitting a 14-year-old skateboarder
in Venice, Calif.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident at
9:30 p.m. The skateboarder was treated for his injuries and
released.

Lori, who starred in Point Break, Tank Girl and A League of
Their Own, was booked into the Van Nuys jail and eventually
released on $100,000 bail.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said the
circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear.
Detectives with the LAPD’s traffic division will determine
if a follow-up investigation is necessary. Lori’s blood-
alcohol level isn’t being released at this time.

Calls to Lori’s spokesman were not returned.

David Hyde Pierce Says He Married Longtime Partner…

After keeping his private life out of the spotlight for
years, David Hyde Pierce has announced his marriage to
longtime partner Brian Hargrove.

The former “Frasier” star spoke candidly in an appearance
on ABC’s “The View.” Wearing a wedding band, Hyde Pierce
revealed they tied the knot “very quietly” in California
on Oct. 24.

David and Brian, a producer, are still legally wed despite
the California Supreme Court’s decision Tuesday to uphold
Proposition 8. The gay-marriage ban was approved by voters
in November, stopping legal nuptials going forward.

Angered by the ruling, David said Thursday: “It’s like,
‘Oh great, we made the cut.’”

He called it a “very odd thing” that strangers have a vote
on his private decision to marry.

very secure with that,” she said Sunday at the film’s press junket.
“It was all about choreography. I mean, literally when you read it

the gym, cut out the carbs!’”

“I’m glad it made people laugh,” she said. “Shooting it was odd.
There are things stuck to areas that generally you don’t have
