from child to adult star, has been named the ambassador for
the youth for the city of Bogota in Colombia.
Hilary will visit the city as a guest of honor sometime between
August 1st and August 15th.
This special honor came as a result of her growing efforts
with Blessings in a Backpack.

Black Eyed Peas Accused Of Plagiarism…
The Black Eyed Peas could faced legal action from British
DJ Adam Freeland, who has accused the band of copying one
of his songs.
Freeland claims the group used the beat from his track
“Mancry” in “Party All the Time,” which featured on their
latest record “The E.N.D.”
The star has taken to his Twitter.com page to express his
outrage, alleging the Black Eyed Peas track sampled his
work without permission.
He writes, “OK. Check this. Listen to our song ‘Mancry’.
Now listen to Black Eyed Peas ‘Party all the time’
(What the [bleep]!)”
Although Freeland has yet to take legal action against
the band, lawyers for both sides have been in contact.
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am was previously mired in
controversy over samples used in his solo work. In 2007
he was forced to drop an excerpt from Daft Punk’s
“Around in the World” from his “I Got it From My Momma”
track by the French duo’s lawyers.

Theron Hospitalized After Health Scare…
Hollywood actress Charlize Theron spent four nights in a
Los Angeles hospital last week after contracting a painful
stomach virus.
Charlize is alleged to have suffered severe abdominal
pains, which she attributed to food poisoning.
But when the sharp stomach pangs failed to go away, her
boyfriend Stuart Townsend took her to Cedars-Sinai Medical
Center to seek treatment.
According to reports, doctors ran a series of tests on
Charlize and diagnosed her with a serious virus, which may
have been contracted during her travels overseas.
Stuart was left shaken by Charlize’s health scare,
reportedly telling pals, “I was scared to death. I had no
idea what was happening to her, but this is a woman who
never complains, so I knew it had to be serious.”
Reports claims Charlize was discharged from the hospital
after being given a series of antibiotics and is now back
to full health.

Spears Critics Silenced By Untouched Candie’s Photo…
Representatives for Britney Spears have hit back at
criticisms of the superstar’s seemingly airbrushed
ad campaign for Candie’s by releasing an original
“untouched” snap.
The Barbie-style photo shoot for the clothing company’s
latest collection, which shows the “Toxic” hitmaker
looking impossibly perfect and coiffed, stunned fans.
Internet gossip Perez Hilton lashed out at the images,
insisting the photos were “practically paintings.”
But a representative for Britney has tried to squash
rumors the pictures were completely overhauled by
sending out a very similar snap to Hilton’s Web site
insisting Britney looked almost identical
pre-airbrushing.
The re-touched version shows the only differences in the
two images are that Britney’s tan has been deepened and
her dark roots have been lightened.

Edward Furlong & Wife Divorcing…
“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” star Edward Furlong and wife
Rachael Bella are divorcing.
According to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court,
Rachael filed for the divorce citing irreconcilable
differences as the reason behind their split.
The couple married in April 2006 and have a nearly 3-year-
old son, Ethan Page, together. Rachael is seeking spousal
support and joint custody of their child.
Since rising to fame in the second installment of the
“Terminator” series, playing a young John Connor, Edward
has appeared in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Law &
Order: Special Victims Unit.”
Edward was reportedly previously linked to actress Natasha
Lyonne and reality starlet Paris Hilton before Rachael.
